"Sex" is either
- an abbreviated form of the term sexual intercourse. This can refer to all types of sexual activity, both heterosexual and homosexual. This typically refers to vaginal intercourse, but it can also refer to anal or oral sex.
- Another term for gender, the characteristic of being either male of female.
- Occasionally a verb that simply means, "to identify the gender of."

Famously Bill Clinton denied he had "sexual relations" with Monica Lewinsky. However, oral sex is considered a form of sexual relationship. Denying this under oath purjured himself resulting in his impeachment.
