A walnut-sized gland housed in the anterior wall of the rectum. The prostate produces and stores several of the fluids that combine with sperm to form semen.

The prostate is found about two inches from the opening of the anus.

The prostate is also an erogenous zone for the male; if stroked with a few fingers or the head of a penis, it can lead to intense arousal and ultimately orgasm.
